Mo Cafe - London, UK

Mo Cafe lies next door to its older sibling, Momo, the Moroccan restaurant.  They have other siblings, including Sketch in London and Almaz by Momo in Dubai Mall among others.  The cafe is hidden in the Food Quarter of Heddon Street just off Regent Street.  If you're looking for a light meal and real Moroccan tea you will find it here.  The atmosphere is dark and loud, and it looks like a traditional souk tearoom from Morocco with tons of colorful Moroccan lanterns in the ceiling. We had light Arabic appetisers, including harira soup (traditional Moroccan spiced tomato soup that has lentils, chickpeas, and minced lamb).  I liked their cheese briouats, goat cheese and herbal pastry, and their falafel. Years ago I had their Moroccan mint tea with pine nuts. Unforgettable!
Address: 25 Heddon Street
Opening times: Breakfast 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
All day dining 12:00 pm - 1:00 am
Afternoon tea served between 12:30 pm- 5:30 pm

Mustard

All I have to say about the newly opened Mustard home delivery is that its one of the yummiest tender burger I ever had in Kuwait.  Organic and delicious.  Same goes for their fries and onon rings.

Travel Advice: The Library - Koh Samui, Thailand

I haven't stayed in The Library, a minimalist extremely modern boutique hotel located in the heart of Chewang Beach, the perfect location in Koh Samui, if you want to be where the action is. I did pay the resort a visit a couple of times, mainly after walking the streets of Chewang Beach.  This resort is a Member of Design Hotels, and is known for having one of the best swimming pools in the world. Their pool has red tiles, rather than the usual blue.  The theme of this hotel as the name suggests, is books.  While walking through its garden way on our way to its beach lounge, we noticed the page numbers on the grass suggesting room numbers.  There's of course a lovely library near the open air lounge.  We loved that Koh Samui had lots of open air beach set lounges with puff pillows you sat on.  This was one of the reason we loved visiting The Library, just to face the sea, have our virgin mojitos, and relax under the starry night.  Sadly, if you're looking for private pool villas this hotel is not for you, I imagine it to be a hit with the guys.

The Icecreamists - London, UK

The Icecreamists is a gelato place located in the heart of Covent Garden market.  A really cool looking place with even cooler gelato flavors.  When I say cool I mean hard metal black everything cool, something you're not used to seeing when it comes to an ice-cream parlour.  The place is over dramatic, and you'll find that the flavors are over dramatic too.  And they're really good, I don't remember what flavors I went for (shown below), but they weren't classic choices and I remember it being really really good.
Address: 15 Maiden Lane, Covent Garden
Opening times: 11:00 am - 8:00 pm

Teasmith - London, UK

My favorite "chill hideout" in London.  Its a bit far from the center of London (20-25 min drive), if I'm not mistaken its located in Liverpool.  Teasmith is a really quiet teabar, where you indulge in an Asian tea ceremony, but rather than sitting on the floor, you sit high up on a bar chair.  You get several infusions of the leaves you choose, meaning you'll be sitting for a while just to drink tea.  You drink using Asian cups in the Asian way with Asian ingredients made the Asian way.  Loved the dessert I ordered, sugared shortbread with matcha (Japanese tea) & honey green dip.  I loved the dip so much being a fan of matcha!  The tea I ordered is the Lu Shan (Jin Xuan) which has a milky taste.  I totally recommend it.  I also got a complimentary fruity tea while having my tea.  The tea maker is very well informed and knowledgeable on Asian tea, she talked a lot about it.  They also have the new afternoon tea, by order only, so call them beforehand to reserve.  Its worth it if you're looking for solitude, alone time, and if you're in need of detoxing yourself.  Teasmith teas are also available at William Curley Cafe in Belgravia.
You can buy your own tea

New Hotel: Dorset Square Hotel - London, UK

Opens today.

The Dorset Square Hotel, part of the Firmdale hotel brand, is located in Marylebone, just steps away from Madame Tussauds.  It used to be a luxury townhouse in 1985 and was closed in 2002.  The decor is beautiful, designed by Kit Kemp, something we haven't seen around in other hotels in London.  Most of the 38 rooms look into a private garden which used to be a former cricket ground for old lords.

L'Artisan Parfumeur

I recently came across and began to prefer perfumes from the French fragrance brand L'Artisan Parfumeur.  I've known about it for a long time of course but never thought of checking the fragrances out, until now, when I found their boutique while shopping at Covent Garden.  My favorites are the Amber (my all time favorite scent) and Traversee Du Bosphore, which is as the name suggests, is Turkish inspired and smells of Turkish delight.  Another product I liked, was the solid perfume set in a tiny lip balm like container, because its rare to find solid perfumes nowadays in brands we like.

La Petite Maison - London, UK

London's La Petite Maison, a branch of Nice's famous restaurant, is a must.  I have wrote a post  last year's visit to Dubai's branch located in DIFC.  The food is as good as its supposed to be, and tastes exactly the same, and like Dubai, most dishes were made to be shared.  The place is always fully booked and crowded for dinner, you may even get to spot a celebrity like we did, so make sure you book ahead.
