One Eleven Nail Spa

One Eleven Nail Spa, has opened for a week now in Dar Al Awathi.  Still soft opening and open for customers.  Its different than other nail spas, in decor.  I've noticed the quality of the spa itself, which stands out and catches your attention, from the marble flooring, to the drapes, and chairs. Very elegant and luxurious.  I went in to meet my friend who has already booked an appointment, and from her reaction, I know this place is a must.  She's a bit picky when it comes to manicures.  So if she's happy then they're really good and thorough.  Their nail polish collection for now, is Essie, Zoya, and O.P.I.  Very organized and not messy like other salons.  Another thing that shows they care for quality.  There's also a facial threading section.  And your "little kittens" can have their nails done while being pampered and relaxed.  One treatment that is new, something I haven't come across like ever, is the expensive and hydrating La Mer VIP Treatment.

Travel Advice: At The Top - Dubai, UAE

If you still haven't experienced the At The Top experience at Burj Khalifa, then you should, and maybe follow it with afternoon tea at Atmosphere.  Its a brief experience, except for the queue, you spent time standing in queue more than being At The Top.  Its not "over the top", but its just a thing you should see and be part of.  Being on top and in open air overlooking Dubai, is exhilarating.  My friends just liked taking shots up there, I on the other hand felt like I accomplished something.  I have stayed at Armani HotelBurj Khalifa a few months ago, but never felt like I was in the tallest building in the world.  At The Top made me feel like I'm on top of the world.  Purchase tickets for an early entry, to avoid the long queues, at least a week ahead (early timings are always fully booked), and make sure to check the weather forecasts.

Dinner at Hakkasan - Dubai, UAE

The recently opened Hakkasan, located in the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel (in the mall) is the buzz of the town.  If you've been to Okku and liked the atmosphere, you'll definately like Hakkasan.  You'd think you were in London rather than Dubai, it has the same vibe and decor as the one in London's Hanway Hakkasan branch.  The food is extremely good and the service was more than perfect.  Its extremely crowded so try booking a week ahead.  I booked through Open Table.  If you're not aware, there's another Hakkasan in the UAE, located in Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi.

Fried tiger prawns
I can't remember the name but these wagyu cut cubes were really good.

A Visit to Becarre

I'm having some work done in the house, so I've been practically living in interior design and furniture shops.  I've been meaning to visit Becarre for some time, so when I learned about the new collection I jumped to the opportunity to visit. Am I glad I did, got some great art pieces and accesories.  The shop is better described as an art museum or gallery.  The theme of most of the display is traditional Kuwait turned into a modern piece.
Address: Salmiya, Salem Al-Mubarak St., North Salmiya Building, on top of the old Bhs. There's a lift under the stairs that takes you straight to the shop.

Amala Restaurant - Dubai, UAE

We all love Indian food.  And we also wanted to try Jumeirah Zabeel Saray's restaurants. So we booked a table at Amala.  Excellent service.  I'm saying this because the waiter made us as comfortable and satisfied as possible.  He told us, that if we didn't find what we wanted from the menu they will do it for us, which they did.  You can order anything from the menu as much as you want for just Dhs 255 per person.  The food was so good that we had a double portion of some dishes.
 Till Jingha Tandoori
Clockwise: Butter Chicken, Goan Jhinga Curry, another type of prawn curry, and a Dal specialty
This dessert had vermicelli, I don't remember its name
This dessert is similar to Gulab Jamun

Chay Shop

I had to visit Al-Raya Mall for the recently opened Chay Shop, to get me another tea set.  The shop sells Turkish tea or chai cups with saucers.  Each set is designed with different detail whether in the cup or saucer.  They've also got glasses, coffee sets, green tea sets, spoon sets, bottles, Turkish trays, and toothpicks.  Everything is modern.

Travel Advice: My Stay at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray- Dubai, UAE

I have reviewed Jumeirah Zabeel Saray before, and I have just recently stayed in it.  Amazing extremely luxurious hotel.  Its the most expensive hotel I have ever stayed in in Dubai, thank goodness they have made it worthwhile with their excellent service.  The huge hotel is about 25 min from Dubai International Airport, and is located between the new Kempinski and One & Only in Jumeirah Palm.  We booked the huge Deluxe Family Room which looks out on the beachside. It has one main bedroom with a seating area, a balcony, and a bathroom, and a smaller room with 2 beds and another bathroom. Great restaurants, great lounge, great cafe, and great food.  It has the best spa in the UAE, Talise Spa.  If you go, go for the Turkish Hamam.  If you are or are not planning to visit the Voi, a French restaurant, and Voda Bar, then you have to get a glimpse of the interiors!  And have Turkish tea with Turkish delights and afternoon tea at Sultan's Lounge, located in the lobby area.
