Japanese food is not something that I usually crave, but I've been wanting to have nothing but Japanese for the past few days.  Izakaya was my first choice, just because I've been wanting to visit ever since it opened.  As expected, I wasn't disappointed in the least.  The menu had a variety of dishes and lots of options.  I wanted to order everything! I did notice that there were unique dishes that you will never find in Kuwait, types of fishes or rare dishes that we are not accustomed to eating.  That to me was a plus point.  I liked the fact that we has some complimentary starters and dessert (ice cream scoops).  The service was extremely good.  The calamari with pomegranate sauce and maki rolls were my favorite.  For dessert we had the red bean pancakes topped with nutmeg hazelnut ice cream, highly recommended!
Sweet pototoe chips
 Fried calamari with pomegranate sauce
 Wagyu sliders
Shrimps in the starters (can't remember the name)
Wagyu tartar & crispy shrimp tempura maki rolls
