Interior Files I: Chinoiserie

One of the things I wanted to share with you guys is my love to Chinoiserie.  If you still haven't noticed, the background of my blog title is a chinoiserie panel.  I'm no wallpaper kind of gal, but I do love romantic the pastels of wallpapers depicting handpainted flowers, birds, humans, etc prints. They make me go ga-ga! Check de Gournay and Gracie.

Rate this Dress

Don't laugh at me. It's not usually what I would go for. I love the originality and it is body flattering. I like this Giles Deacon look.

Ruffles (my specialty), tulle, short, yet long, courset, nudes, and shimmer all in one.

Feel free to critisize. My friends did.

Imagine it worn with loubies!

And Rate it.

Ricamo and Fondue Cafe

Yesterday, we were invited to the Ricamo's Tea Party exhibition in Al Tilal. I'm a big fan of Ricamo, located in Salhiya Mall, they've got beautiful dishes and home accessories. The exhibition started yesterday and will be ending tommorrow. For those of you not being to make it, you should try visiting the shop in the mall. Everytime I go I have to get something. Yesterday there were lots of gorgeous vases, paintings, and modern huge candle holders. Everything was nearly sold out. My friend bought a few vases that we helped her choose for a special occassion.

Its been a while since I've been out to eat in a nice place with friends, so I mentioned we should go to Fondue in Salhiya since it was designed by friends and belonged to acquaintances too, so there was no excuse. I loved the design, lighting, and colors used. The food was good too although a bit heavy. They had lots of choices we got lost trying to figure out what we wanted to order. Everything we had was good especially the dessert!
Risotto Balls with 2 Dips (Chili tomato and mushroom sauces)
Original Burgers (love that they printed the shop's name on the bun!)
Cheese Fondue with my choosing of meats: beef tenderloin, grilled sausages and chicken poppers.
In the background, three lasagnas: meat, mushroom, and spinach.
Chocolate Croissant Pudding! (Have crunchies on top and tastes like nutella). I think, as per my friends' recommendations and my own, this is a best seller!
I will definately go again to try some of their other stuff. We ordered a lot, ate so little, took a lot for take away.

Walahtaw 3alaiiiiy!?

Its beeeeeen a whileeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Lets just say tying up the knot is just a few days away and I'm so busy doing everything by myself. Could not have done it without my friends. Mom's no big help at all heheh. But I can't believe I have achieved so much in so little time. Been abroad a few times here and there getting ready.

But my greatest trip has been to attend Rihanna's concert for New Years. Its been two weeks already and I miss it already. It was the break I needed. Plus I think this will be my last concert to attend. Remember I said I wanted to attend the Barca game and that there was no way I was going to attend the concert. Well everything happened so fast. Two of my friends and I made the trip a week and a half ahead! It took us a while to find good hotels because everything was fully booked! Especially Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, the hotel where the concert (yet again) was going to be held in.

Our trip was for 4 days. One night in Dubai, one night in Abu Dhabi, and the last night in Dubai again. LOL! Check in check out all the way! Couldn't have been possible if I have not rented a 4X4 especially with all the shopping and the last day being spent in huge shopping malls just before leaving late night to Kuwait. I don't want to say more. Our pictures will say it all.
